Much of SW Florida's housing is in communities.
In South Fort Myers, Estero, Bonita Springs and much of Naples it is the norm to live in a community which is planned by a developer and has amenities ranging from just a community pull to a full fledged Golf County Club.

Some of my favorites are Paseo in Fort Myers, Bleu Claire on Longboat Key and Lely Resort in Naples (sister community to Paseo but with Golf).
